Job Summary
Retirement Plan Consultant role responsible for supporting General Agents and Advisors in the MassMutual Workplace Retirement Solutions group. You’ll provide day-to-day inquiries and sales support, analyze and respond to complex questions, manage plan reports (including fee benchmarking and plan investment reviews), and leverage digital platforms to assist practice management, retention, and growth. Requires 5+ years of retirement plan experience with 401(k)/Pooled Employer/Multiple Employer plans and experience with Defined Benefit and Cash Balance plans; FINRA series 6 and 63; strong communication/presentation skills; pro-active, self-starter approach; ability to coordinate education calls and promote best practices for group retirement sales. Hybrid in-office schedule (at least three days in the office: Tuesday, Wednesday, and a third day) with balance remote work; collaborative environment with MassMutual Financial Professionals. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or HS Diploma with 8+ years retirement plan experience
- 5+ years of retirement plan experience
- 2+ years with 401(k), Profit Sharing, or Pooled Employer Plan and Multiple Employer plan design
- 2+ years with Defined Benefit Plans
- 2+ years with Cash Balance Plans
- 1+ years with field partners (career agents, financial advisors, RIAs, BDs or general agencies)
- FINRA series 6 and series 63 license at time of application
- 3+ years with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint
- Experience with Employee Stock Ownership Plans
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Pro-active, self-starter with ability to organize, prioritize and execute multiple projects across multiple functional areas in fast-paced environment
