Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role for Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting. Initially, nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; later transition to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Includes relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Demonstrated experience working or volunteering with youth
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years and both must be age 27 or older
- Ability to participate in training and complete individual employment applications
