Job Summary
Flex Houseparents (two-person married couple) reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring daily, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, and later transitions to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students. Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse role must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
