Job Summary
Flex Houseparents (two-person team) reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School to provide daily supervision, mentorship, care, and structured routines for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include medication administration, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from nine days on / three days off to the Placed Houseparent role with the same group of students. Benefits include a per-person salary of $44,768 (approx. $168,000 per couple), relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, and paid training. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift to 50 lbs, and that both spouses are legally married for at least two years and age 27 or older; both spouses must complete individual employment applications to apply.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
