Job Summary
Milton Hershey School seeks a two-person Retirement Disability Specialist team to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. The couple resides in on-campus student homes and provides care, mentorship, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring daily activities, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, conducting daily devotions, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed Houseparent role living and working with the same group of students. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
