Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent roles at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student home as a placed houseparent. Includes relocation assistance and paid training; benefits cover medical, dental, vision, and retirement. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and two spouses who are legally married for at least two years and both must apply.
Required Qualifications

- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Two-spouse, married for at least two years
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
