Job Summary
Educate and guide terminating 401(k) participants on IRA rollover options, including JH Mutual Fund, Managed, and GIFL IRAs, to facilitate informed retirement asset decisions. Analyze current investment line-ups against John Hancock IRA offerings using proprietary tools like the Fund Matching tool, then present tailored solutions and open new accounts. Collaborate with partner firm advisors to navigate distribution processes and channel assets into John Hancock products while managing inbound and outbound call volumes. Review investment strategies, leverage education-based methodologies, and deliver superior customer experiences aligned with participant needs. Achieve monthly activity targets while adhering to high integrity standards and participating in ongoing training and coaching programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 1-3 years of Financial Services experience, preferably in phone and/or sales-type roles
- Securities industry Essentials (SIE) Exam, Series 6, 63 required (and must obtain Series 65 within 90 days of hire)
- Strong knowledge and understanding of IRA's, 401(k) plans and investments in general
- Thorough understanding of the John Hancock story, products, pricing, services and procedures
- Good working understanding of 401 (k) & IRA rules and regulations
- Passion for one-on-one client support
- Strong listening, customer service, and communication skills
- Analytical with solid problem-solving ability
- Effective in presentation and negotiation
- Knowledgeable in policies and procedures
- Works independently and collaboratively to meet targets
