Job Summary

Welcome patients and visitors with a positive disposition, obtaining histories through intake assessments and noting findings in the EHR. Perform visual acuity, auto-refraction, lensometry, tonometry, and keratometry tests, while checking pupils, extra-ocular muscles, and fields. Run diagnostic tests including Immersion A-scan, OCTs, and Visual Fields, and administer color vision, depth perception, and Schirmer's tear testing as needed. Educate patients on conditions and consent for procedures, monitor E-faxes and Erx's, and maintain exam rooms with cleaning and sterilization. Scribe for providers, assist the Clinic Manager with hiring, supervising, and appraising back office personnel, and conduct quarterly chart audits. Train staff on EHR navigation, coding, and clinic policies, while meeting regularly to discuss operational needs. Requires high school diploma, one year of experience, and flexible Monday-Friday availability.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 1-year of Ophthalmic Assistant/Technician experience
  • Flexible schedule working Monday-Friday
  • Ability to travel to Chino Valley and Prescott Valley locations as needed
