Retention Strategist at E-commerce Growth Agency (Remote, US-based)

Job Summary
Lead retention initiatives for client accounts by developing and executing lifecycle marketing strategies (email and SMS automations, segmentation, and retention flows) to increase customer lifetime value and reduce churn. Own campaign planning and retention calendars across multiple client accounts; conduct cohort analyses to uncover retention opportunities; collaborate with Klaviyo specialists, designers, and copywriters; stay current on subscription-marketing best practices; build strong client relationships and deliver high-quality results.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in retention marketing, lifecycle marketing, CRM, or customer retention roles
- Strong expertise in Klaviyo, including flows, automations, segmentation, reporting, and lifecycle strategy
- Proven experience conducting cohort analysis and using customer data to drive retention decisions
- Experience working with e-commerce, DTC, or subscription-based brands
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations
- Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience managing multiple accounts or projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with subscription platforms such as ReCharge, Skio, or similar tools is a plus
- Strong understanding of customer lifecycle marketing and subscription commerce models
- Comfortable leveraging AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar platforms to improve efficiency and workflow
