Job Summary
Retain Disposal Technician in Pasadena, TX is responsible for handling all samples designated for retain, transporting samples to the Retain Building, maintaining supplies, and disposing of samples per procedures while ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The role supports laboratory operations, communicates with lab staff and management, and adheres to Health, Safety and Environmental policies. Requires high school diploma or GED with 1-3 years of related experience and the ability to read safety rules and lift up to 100 pounds; must be able to work a rotating schedule including weekends and on-call shifts. Proficiency in safety rules, documentation, and procedure compliance is expected, along with the ability to manage sample handling, cleaning, and basic data/documentation tasks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED and 1-3 years related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds (with assistance).
