Job Summary
Retail Warehouse Associate focused on safely receiving, moving, storing, assembling, and preparing furniture and home furnishings in Ashley’s Colton, CA fulfillment center. Responsibilities include operating warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks), inspecting merchandise to Ashley quality standards, loading/unloading and staging inventory, assisting with product preparation and minor repairs, supporting inventory accuracy through cycle counts, and delivering customer service in-warehouse and at delivery/visit points. Candidates should be capable of lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance, be willing to train in warehouse operations, and demonstrate teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail to uphold Ashley’s values and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Physical capability to lift, carry, push, pull, and maneuver furniture and merchandise weighing up to 100 pounds with assistance for heavier items
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, lifts, pallet jacks, dollies) following safety procedures
- Ability to safely receive, move, store, assemble, and prepare furniture and home furnishings throughout the warehouse and distribution process
- Experience or willingness to perform product preparation, minor repairs, touch-ups, and repackaging as needed
- Ability to support inventory management activities including merchandise tracking, cycle counts, and physical inventories
- Commitment to delivering excellent customer experiences and representing the Ashley brand professionally
- Strong communication and teamwork to collaborate with customers, teammates, and leaders
- Adherence to safety procedures and company policies, with reliable attendance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in warehouse, distribution, retail, furniture handling, inventory, assembly, material handling, or powered industrial equipment operation is preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment and follow safety procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
