Job Summary
Retail Used Firearms Outfitter responsible for evaluating, appraising, and purchasing used firearms, initiating 4473 forms, and ensuring compliant transfer—verifying ATF/state/local requirements and proper documentation. Provides legendary customer service by assisting customers in identifying needs and making purchasing recommendations, maintains department standards and back-room organization, participates in ongoing firearms and selling-skill training, and performs opening/closing duties in a part-time role with local travel to purchase used firearms.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 to 4 years of experience
- Must be 21 years of age
- Safely handle firearms
- Knowledge of purchasing firearms by either working in the firearms industry or collecting firearms
- Good understanding of retail and a knowledge of computers
- Background in current firearms models
