Job Summary
Coordinate and facilitate events in the Michaels store in Nampa, including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events; deliver friendly customer service by helping guests shop and find what they’re looking for, and ensure a fast and friendly checkout experience. Manage event planning and execution, including setup, breakdown, and backup plans; demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and activities such as face painting; coordinate add-ons like goody bags and balloons; communicate event details with clients and store team members; handle administrative tasks (emails, calls, paperwork) and adjust plans based on client feedback. Support omni-channel processes (BOPIS, Ship From Store), maintain store cleanliness and safety, and participate in daily store operations, including stocking and planograms. Cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production; engage with guests of all ages and foster a positive, creative environment aligned with Michaels’ standards and values.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with children and children's events
- Excellent people skills
- Retail or customer service experience
