Job Summary
Answer merchandise questions, complete sales accurately, and solve customer problems or refer them to management. Greet donors, offer assistance, and receipts while stocking and maintaining the store in a neat, clean, orderly manner. Open and close the store, watch for shoplifters and counterfeit bills, and process and price items according to established procedures. Supervise and train employees on customer service procedures, assist with the Change Roundup Program, and carry out managerial duties such as requisitions, complaint resolution, and daily task assignments in the absence of the Store Manager. Travel to any location upon request and work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- HS diploma/GED
- Proficiency in all Goodwill sales associate duties for at least 60 working days
- Knowledge and practice of all company policies and procedures
- Ability to relate to people of all socioeconomic levels
- Valid driver's license, insurance and transportation
- Ability to meet all required security clearances and drug screening
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Willingness and ability to travel to any location upon request
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights holidays and weekends
