Job Summary
Answer merchandise questions, complete sales accurately, and greet donors while offering assistance. Stock and maintain the store in a neat, orderly manner according to established procedures. Solve customer problems as authorized or refer issues to management. Open and close the store in the absence of or at the direction of the manager. Supervise and train employees on customer service procedures and assist with the Change Roundup Program. Process and price items correctly, follow charge and return policies exactly, and watch for shoplifters or counterfeit bills. Carry out managerial duties such as requisitions, complaint resolution, and task assignments. Accomplish the retail mission by completing related assignments as needed.
Required Qualifications
- HS diploma/GED
- Proficiency in all Goodwill sales associate duties for at least 60 working days
- Knowledge and practice of all company policies and procedures
- Ability to relate to people of all socioeconomic levels
- Valid driver's license, insurance and transportation
- Ability to meet all required security clearances and drug screening
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Willingness and ability to travel to any location upon request
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays and weekends
