Job Summary
Oversee the daily operation of the Fishing Department by supervising team members, delegating tasks, and ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures. Provide leadership through training, clear direction, and follow-up on execution while resolving customer issues and making product recommendations based on their needs. Maintain visual presentation standards by managing in-store signage, merchandise recovery, restocking, and sales floor upkeep. Respond to customer inquiries, promote company programs, and report violations to the manager. Assist in other store areas as business dictates. Requires opening and closing shifts, weekends, and a high school diploma.
Required Qualifications
- Open availability – this position will be required to work store opening and closing shifts, as well as on weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Two or more years of supervisory experience in a sales or service environment is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Ability to evaluate customers' needs and make recommendations based on needs
- Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer's expectations
- Ability to use good judgment and logic
- Experience in a related field or outdoor lifestyle
- Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela's specific products is an asset
