Job Summary
Prepare full-service tax returns, provide personalized tax advice, and conduct discovery sessions to maximize refunds and optimize deductions for clients. Engage new prospects through proactive outreach, lead local community events, and build long-term relationships by delivering exceptional in-person and virtual support. Utilize TurboTax software and professional tools to handle complex individual and business tax situations while representing the brand as a trusted local advisor.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted credential: EA, CPA, or Practicing Attorney
- Strong tax preparation experience
- Extensive knowledge of tax laws
- Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 50 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season
- Experience using professional tax preparation software
- Full availability for a flexible 25–34 hour weekly schedule, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends
- Ability to increase hours during peak seasons
- Must reside within the United States
- Must possess or be able to obtain any related State licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with Circular 230
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills
- Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing
- Interest in building a local and online social presence as a TurboTax associate
