Job Summary
Tax Expert – Retail On-Site at TurboTax locations; provide hands-on tax preparation and advice, serve in-person and virtually, engage community, lead local events, build client base, and leverage marketing and software to grow TurboTax’s local presence. Requires active EA/CPA/Attorney with PTIN, 3+ years of tax preparation experience, knowledge of Circular 230, and flexible 25–34 hour weekly availability including afternoons/evenings/weekends. Role is seasonal and onsite at a TurboTax location in the United States; bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus and growth through local marketing and customer outreach is encouraged.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted credential: EA, CPA, or Practicing Attorney with PTIN
- Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) as required by law to file taxes
- Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 50+ federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season
- Familiarity with Circular 230
- Must reside within the United States
- Must possess or be able to obtain any related State licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds
Desired Qualifications

- Proficient with technology, including tax preparation software and CRM/sales tools
- Experience building a local and online social presence for TurboTax community engagement
- Ability to deliver Hands-on tax advice and complete preparation services
- On-site presence at a TurboTax location in the United States on a seasonal basis
