Job Summary
Retail Systems Support Specialist role supporting Edge One's Service Solutions: install, configure, and maintain hardware and merchant POS systems; program and install retail products; provide phone support and customer training; represent Edge One and Service Solutions professionally; manage service paperwork; potential on-call and overnight travel; heavy emphasis on POS systems knowledge, equipment handling (including ATM), and training for technicians; requires driving, DOT-compliant physicals, and ability to work in an armed environment; promotion of team collaboration and ongoing training.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to drive a vehicle, day and night, and pass an annual driving test
- Must possess the necessary skills and willing to work in an armed environment
- Able to pass D.O.T physical examination and drug screening test
- Must be able to load and unload a 200 lb. ATM from van
- Must be able to list 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, squat and twist in various positions while servicing equipment
- Must be able to read and understand written product manuals and apply that knowledge in servicing related equipment within guidelines
- Must be knowledgeable in POS systems that Edge One, Inc provides and refers to our customers
- Must be knowledgeable in or have the mechanical aptitude for minor repaid of Merchant Equipment
- Must be bondable
- Must have and maintain a clean driving record and be insurable
- Must be able to demonstrate ability to work well in a team environment, displaying a strong work ethic and integrity
- Must be able to provide support and training for other technicians in our Merchant Service offerings
- Must be willing to attend training classes and trade shows as requested
- Overnight travel may be required
- Must have access to a computer that is capable of sending and receiving work related documents, preferably with Windows software
- Language: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; present information
- Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic and understanding of fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense and solve problems in standardized situations
- Confidentiality Requirements: Access to confidential records must be maintained
