Job Summary
Lead and supervise retail staff at Big White Ski Resort to deliver exceptional guest service and drive sales. Responsibilities include guiding daily operations, coaching and motivating team members, maintaining merchandising and inventory accuracy, managing cash handling and POS transactions, enforcing loss prevention procedures, coordinating with Visual Merchandisers, supporting scheduling and reporting, and ensuring store standards. Requires strong leadership, customer service mindset, organizational skills, experience in retail (2–3 years preferred), ability to train staff, and comfort working in a cold alpine environment with variable indoor/outdoor spaces. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and peak resort periods and possess good product knowledge to outfit guests with the right gear and apparel.
Required Qualifications
- Strong leadership and communication skills that model professionalism and motivate staff
- Proven customer service mindset with a friendly, outgoing, and professional attitude
- Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
- 2–3 years of retail experience preferred, supervisory or key-holder experience asset
- Ability to use computer applications, POS systems, and daily retail tools
- Strong cash handling and POS transaction accuracy
- Ability to manage administrative responsibilities including reporting and scheduling support
- Strong knowledge of facility, services, and local area to support guest experience and staff training
- Patience, fairness, and emotional intelligence when dealing with guests and staff
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and peak resort periods
- Comfortable working in a cold alpine environment and transitioning between indoor and outdoor spaces
