Job Summary
Greet guests, ascertain their interests, and make sales recommendations while demonstrating ownership in cleaning, re-stocking, and tasks assigned by the supervisor. Present merchandise to increase sales with add-on items, describe product features and benefits, and maintain accurate inventory counts and placement. Keep current on promotions, campus events, and plan-o-grams, assisting the store set-up team with merchandising and inventory control for event gift shops. Open or close the retail store, manage associates on duty, and perform other duties as assigned. Work extended hours, weekends, and overtime as needed for events.
Required Qualifications
- Honesty and integrity in all actions and language
- Must be able to take constructive feedback & make necessary changes
- Excellent customer service and selling skills
- Must be able to work extended hours on event days
- Must be able to work weekends & overtime as needed
- High school graduate, GED, or equivalent experience in comparable company
- Accuracy in open & close procedures
- Able to lift 50lbs and stand for long periods of time
- Innovative & self starter, who can work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work nontraditional hours, included nights, holidays and weekends
- Flexibility in Duties & responsibilities as needed in other areas
Desired Qualifications
- Merchandising skills a plus
