Job Summary
Oversee assigned retail units by scheduling and supervising staff, coordinating timekeeping, and ensuring displays are stocked, priced, and maintained to company standards. Conduct merchandise cycle counts for loss control, manage vendor fill orders, and process daily cashier deposits while adhering to all accounting and retail policies. Train new employees on store objectives, procedures, and product knowledge, and maintain high cleanliness levels throughout the facility. Communicate with the Retail Manager, Corporate Buying, and Regional Directors to ensure inventory alignment and budget adherence. Perform opening and closing procedures, report maintenance issues, and assist with housing inspections and maintenance requests.
Required Qualifications
- One-year retail supervisory experience in a high-volume retail store
- Must possess a valid/clear Arizona Driver's License, and/or obtain an AZ Driver's License within 90 days of hire date
- Must comply with the Xanterra Tusayan, LLC Company Vehicle Policy
- Advanced computer skills with ability to effectively use and/or learn any necessary software related to topics such as MS Office programs (Word and Excel), Smartsheet, timekeeping, procurement, Retail specific suite software to manage all aspect of operations, and all other company assigned software
- Excellent communication (oral or written), comprehension (provide and understand direction), and reasoning (problem solving and troubleshooting) skills
- Fully trained and able to work at all Xanterra Tusayan Retail Outlets
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in product display, product ordering, inventory control and loss control procedures, both electronically and physically
- Computerized POS system experience including training and troubleshooting
- Basic accounting skills and extensive cash handling/deposit experience
