Job Summary
Oversee the Retail team to ensure delivery of superior shopping and dining experiences at the Village Mercantile and Creamery. Greet all guests in a cheerful manner, assist with telephone inquiries, and verify that purchases are rung up correctly while following proper check/cash handling procedures. Maintain proper sanitation standards, manage inventory, restock supplies, and execute opening/closing procedures using the POS system. Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting in the retail shop or ice cream shop as needed. Requires at least one year of retail experience and supervisory background.
Required Qualifications

- ability to motivate team in a positive manner
- working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- ability to learn on-site point of sales system
- at least 1 year of prior retail experience
- Ability to stand/walk during entire shift
- Ability to reach, bend and stoop
- Ability to carry 25 pound several times during a shift over a medium distance
- Ability to climb ladder as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience
