Job Summary
Oversee daily retail store operations, including quotes/estimates, material take-offs, generating purchase orders, pricing, and product delivery. Maintain retail floor quality by managing signage, pricing, inventory levels, and promotional displays while ensuring advertised merchandise is stocked and correctly signed. Coordinate product knowledge training for sales personnel and customers, resolve customer issues regarding order processing and pricing discrepancies, and assist with loss prevention compliance. Lead and direct employees by assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and addressing escalated issues. Open and close the store as scheduled, adhering to all safety procedures and physical demands.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- five (5) years retail or sales experience
- Working knowledge of company products and building industry
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong math skills
- Aptitude in reading and understanding moderately complex instructions or drawings
- Broad computer knowledge including Point-of-Sales (POS) equipment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and an enterprise resource planning (ERP) program
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and on occasion up to 80 pounds
