Job Summary
Supervise day-to-day sales floor operations, ensuring adherence to store standards, efficient product processing, and optimal customer service under the Retail Manager's guidance. Mentor retail team members through ongoing coaching to enhance performance and foster a positive environment while overseeing cashier operations and transaction processing. Manage inventory levels on the floor to ensure products are well-stocked, merchandised, and priced accurately to meet sales targets. Collaborate with the Retail Manager to implement sales strategies, optimize productivity, and contribute to overall thrift store success. Review key reports to understand departmental goals and support the achievement of performance metrics.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs
- Ability to frequently exert up to 25 lbs of force
- Ability to constantly apply negligible force when handling objects
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Proficient in performing repetitive motions such as extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction and working primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm
- Skilled in tasks involving seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands
- Capable of maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces
- Capable of maintaining balance when performing agile tasks
- Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more
- Required to wear closed-toe shoes for safety purposes
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and busy environment
- Ability to work effectively in a noisy environment
- Ability to work effectively in a bright environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- High degree of flexibility
- Ability to switch tasks or departments based on operational needs

Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Basic computer skills, including MS Office, Teams, and Outlook
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous thrift, retail, warehouse, or customer facing experience
