Job Summary
Retail Supervisor responsible for leading the retail team to meet company performance expectations, participating in recruiting/hiring/training, mentoring staff, and ensuring effective merchandising and store operations. Responsibilities include overseeing gift-store management, restocking and displaying products, processing cash and payments at the point-of-sale, preparing end-of-shift cash reports, maintaining data tracking and reports, evaluating product performance with the Retail Manager and Director, and adhering to ISO quality/environmental programs while fostering a positive team environment. Knowledge of Native American collectibles and local area familiarity are valued.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years retail experience preferred
- One (1) year supervisory experience preferred
- Must be computer proficient in Word and Excel
- Must be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, holiday shifts
- Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision
- Excellent customer service and people skills
- Majority of shift on feet, up to 8 hours per day
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally
