Job Summary
Direct and supervise departmental team members by observing, evaluating, training, and coaching performance while scheduling staff according to labor needs. Manage inventory tracking systems to record deliveries and stock levels, analyze product levels to anticipate issues, and control cash registers and tender. Perform all duties required of retail team members, including morning accounting, banking, and creating visually appealing merchandise displays. Receive and respond to customer and donor questions, complaints, and requests to ensure a positive experience. Protect company assets through loss prevention awareness and maintain a safe work environment by supporting OSHA guidelines. Fulfill manager-on-duty responsibilities and oversee retail processes in the absence of the Assistant Store Manager or General Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years' experience as a supervisor, team lead, or key holder in the retail industry
- Proficiency in basic mathematical skills and computer literacy
- Fundamental reading comprehension abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Capable of observing, assessing, and coaching the work of others
- Ability to understand and follow instructions provided in written and/or verbal form
- Strong reasoning, decision-making, and independent judgment skills
- Successful completion of background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screen
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Ability to work a rotating schedule (mid-shifts, evenings, weekends and holidays)
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to push and pull up to 25 lbs
- Must be able to climb up to 14-foot height
