Job Summary
Supervise front-end operations, manage floor staff including cashiers and volunteers, and ensure proper product display and customer service. Maintain adequate staffing levels, handle scheduling for breaks and meals, and oversee pricing and cash deposits. Assure compliance with safety practices and act as a mandated abuse reporter. Perform other duties as assigned to ensure operational efficiency. This role requires standing for long periods, lifting 40 lb. loads, and using hand trucks in a store environment. Pay is $18.00 per hour. Hope Services is Silicon Valley's leading provider of services to people with developmental disabilities and mental health needs.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to communicate in a positive manner
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
- Knowledge of HOPE and ability to communicate information about HOPE
- Knowledge of what items are acceptable products and what are unwanted items
- Ability to supervise others and provide a learning environment
- Ability to stand at a work station for long periods
- Ability to lift and move 40 lb. loads
- Use of hand trucks and hydraulic lifters and other machinery
