Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day operations of an assigned retail department, providing direction, training, and coaching to associate-level staff to ensure efficient store procedures and a positive customer experience. Manage inventory by receiving, handling, and replenishing stock while monitoring profitability and maintaining company standards and policies. Collaborate with store leadership on procedures and resolve operational errors or problems. Lead by example to foster a high professional standard and strong store culture. Requires 2-5 years of retail experience, POS system proficiency, and the ability to work in a physically active environment with a flexible schedule. As part of Columbia Sportswear's global Store Leadership Team, you help drive the mission of connecting active people with their passions across the brand family.
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in position or specialization
- Skill operating a Point of Sales (POS) system, other in-store computerized systems, and telephone
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to communicate clearly with others
- Ability to work in an active environment that can be physical or strenuous (frequently adjusting/moving items weighing up to 40 lbs.)
- Ability to frequently use specialized equipment
- Availability to work a flexible retail schedule, which may change seasonally and in response to location-specific business trends or forecasts
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
