Job Summary
Lead and manage all aspects of the Michaels store in East Hanover, NJ, driving sales and KPI achievement while upholding customer brand promises. Shepherd a diverse team through hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and development; ensure SOP compliance, shrink and safety programs, and inventory control; execute merchandising plans and budgeted goals; maintain high-quality customer service and a positive store environment as Manager on Duty (MOD). Focus on staffing, scheduling, and cross-training to support store operations and frame shop activities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of retail experience
- 2+ years of experience directly supervising a diverse team
- ability to hire, train, observe, coach, and manage performance
- experience with inventory management, merchandising, and customer service excellence
- ability to maintain SOP compliance and execute company programs
- willingness to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
- physical ability to stand for long periods and move within a store
