Job Summary
Manage and oversee all aspects of business operations to maximize sales and profitability while delegating store activities to ensure smooth daily functions. Lead, train, and develop store associates to foster a culture of growth, providing every customer with a positive and enjoyable shopping experience. Safeguard company assets, build strong community relationships through outreach and partnerships, and ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations while enforcing company policies. Implement operational and merchandising direction communicated from corporate headquarters. This full-time role at Family Dollar's Norfolk store requires the ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs and involves frequent walking, standing, and repetitive motions.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to focus on results and build strong relationships with team members
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to regularly lift, up to 40 lbs. (occasionally 55 lbs.) from floor level to above shoulder height
- Ability to handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
- Must be able to provide certain detailed background information necessary to obtain a license to sell alcoholic beverages / tobacco products
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Retail management experience
