Job Summary
Store Manager Trainee role focused on day-to-day store operations alongside the Store Manager, leading and developing store employees, recruiting and retaining top talent, maximizing financial goals, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include opening/closing the store, asset protection, inventory and loan management, merchandising, training Pawnbrokers, driving store profitability, monitoring loans and buy processes, and maintaining store standards. The position emphasizes customer-centric service, staff development, and operational excellence in a multi-category environment (jewelry, electronics, tools, firearms in FFL locations). The role offers hourly pay with commissions (2-8% potential) and a bonus based on store performance, plus benefits and various on-the-job programs (Wage Access, 401k, tuition reimbursement, discounts).
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of six (6+) months of Store Management experience
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
- Must be willing and able to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays
- Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified
- Store Manager Trainee will work 45+ hours a week
