Job Summary
Greet customers, answer inquiries, resolve issues, and complete accurate register transactions. Restock shelves, organize supply rooms, manage inventory including unloading and scanning, and maintain a safe, clean environment by complying with store procedures. Provide customer support across all departments while demonstrating strong problem-solving, communication, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced setting. Perform duties as assigned, including operating the point-of-sale system. Available Monday through Saturday, 8am to 8pm, with Sunday hours from 10am to 5pm, on a rotating basis for evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent critical and problem-solving skills
- Customer service skills
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform simple calculations
- Extensive knowledge about the store product and services and customer-related policies
- Ability to operate or to quickly learn the store's point-of-sale system
- Integrity
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced and busy environment
- Must be able to bend, reach and lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends on a rotating basis
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail experience preferred
- Successful completion of job training period
- General Knowledge of Fabrics and Crafts is a plus
- Knowledge of Hardware is a plus
