Job Summary
Conduct sales, customer service, and stock fulfillment duties by maintaining a runway-ready sales floor, assisting customers with cashiering and transactions, and organizing stockrooms. Receive, unload, and deliver freight; fulfill customer orders by scanning, processing, and shipping merchandise according to quality standards. Utilize inventory management systems to track shipments and ensure accurate ticketing while promoting the Nordstrom Rewards program. Work a flexible schedule with continuous movement for 6-8 hours, handling items up to 25 pounds occasionally 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications

- The ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
- Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift
- Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing and reaching
- Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- Handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items
- Reaching for and lifting items above the head
- Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
- Occasionally lift items up to 25 pounds
- Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment
- Adhere to all operational, merchandise and asset protection standards
- Assist customers when cashiering with a variety of transactions across different platforms (in-store, online and mobile)
- Operating a point-of-sale system
- Bagging items of all size
- Handling bulky sometimes heavy items including boxes
- Ensure a seamless and friendly experience
- Create a smooth fitting room experience
- Greeting and assisting customers
- Sorting and returning clothing to the floor
- Keep the stockrooms organized
- Ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed
- Receive, unload freight
- Unpack and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments
- Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards
- Prepare and ship customer's orders following quality, packing and shipping standards
- Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process and research merchandise shipments
- Maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms
- Set up special events
