Job Summary
Assist the station manager by fueling vehicles with requested grades, processing cash and credit transactions, and maintaining accurate daily DEQ and fuel reports. Greet customers, answer inquiries, and provide prompt service while completing morning paperwork, cleaning responsibilities, and dispensing propane or tobacco as applicable. Open and close the station, report maintenance concerns and suspicious activity, and collaborate within the team to uphold Chevron Customer First Standards. Available for Saturday and Sunday mornings at 6am with various shifts through the week.
Required Qualifications
- Must be available to open station on Sat & Sun at approx. 6am
- Other shifts through week are various
- Previous experience and/or training in fuel/gas station environment is required
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Has the minimal skills necessary to operate a computer
- Can log on to a computer system, navigate in windows, perform simple tasks within applications and enter information into a database
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- While performing the duties of the job, the employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers to type or dial, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear
- The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles
- The employee is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
- One year of related experience and/or training in management, assistant management or supervisory role is preferred
