Job Summary
Conduct regular patrols of the shopping center, including interior and exterior areas, while monitoring entrances, exits, and parking lots for suspicious activity. Operate and monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV cameras, and report any unusual activity or security breaches to appropriate authorities. Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents such as medical emergencies, fires, or disturbances, providing first aid or assistance until medical personnel arrive. Enforce shopping center policies, rules, and regulations, addressing and resolving conflicts in a professional manner. Prepare and maintain detailed incident reports for any occurrences during the shift. This Full-Time position requires a valid security guard license, physical fitness for extended standing, and availability for shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a valid security guard license
- Additional certifications as required by local regulations
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing for extended periods, conducting patrols, and responding swiftly during emergencies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to de-escalate tense situations
- Keen observation skills
- Ability to identify and report potential security risks, suspicious activities, or policy violations
- Demonstrated ability to act with honesty, integrity, and ethical behavior
- Capacity to think critically, assess situations, and make sound decisions under pressure
- Willingness to work in shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
