Retail Shift Supervisor

Job Summary
Coordinate donation intake, sorting, pricing, and sales processing while ensuring production and revenue goals are met. Supervise staff and manage all managerial functions, including opening and closing the store, when the Store Manager or Assistant Manager is absent. Enforce company policies, maintain building and store cleanliness, and ensure safety procedures are followed by all employees. Perform accurate record keeping and reporting of money and sales using Point-of-Sale equipment. Assist in accepting and coordinating the proper processing and separation of incoming donations, outlet merchandise, and salvage goods.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- at least six months supervisory experience in food services, manufacturing, production, or retail
- National Retail Federation (NRF) Certification
- current Forklift Certification
- Basic judgment skills to determine merchandise/donation value
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
- Advanced math skills, including basic accounting and cash control procedures
- Ability to pass alcohol/drug screenings, criminal background check and any insurance driving record check
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds in retail environment; 50 pounds in Donations/ADC/ Aftermarket environment, or the ability to do so safely
- Maintains a valid driver license
- Working knowledge of computers, including the Microsoft Office Suite
- Promotes and demonstrates ethical practices in all activities
- Promotes a safe work environment and follows all CARF requirements
- Ability to transfer to other working locations, as directed by management
