Retail Shift Leader

Job Summary
Supervise daily store operations and assist store management in facilitating shifts. Oversee responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager or ASM, providing direction and guidance to all associates. Greet customers, resolve service issues, and model exemplary conduct while ensuring health, safety, and security regulations are upheld. Monitor staffing levels, drive sales targets and KPIs, and manage inventory processes. Handle customer complaints and escalate as necessary. Maintain adherence to company policies and legislation. Requires SellSafe Certification, high school or college education, and at least two years of retail experience. Valid First Aid is an asset. Must work nights, holidays, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Valid SellSafe Certification
- Completion of high school and college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
- Demonstrated sales and service orientation
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in the retail industry
- Cannabis industry preferred
- Excellent time management and prioritizing skills
- Demonstrated ability to train and motivate staff
- Skills to monitor and lead by example
- Basic office administration skills
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite
- Highly effective teamwork skills
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy
- Excellent teamwork and team-building skills
- Thorough understanding of applicable health and safety legislation
- A professional, responsive, and positive work attitude
- Ability to work nights, holidays and weekends and different locations
Desired Qualifications
- A valid First Aid certification
