Job Summary
Lead colleagues on shift to deliver strong operational performance, high standards, and a positive member experience. Open and close the store, manage daily retail activities including replenishment, deliveries, waste, markdowns, cash office, hygiene, and housekeeping. Coach staff in the moment to meet required standards, support absence management, and escalate people or performance issues as needed. Ensure food safety, health & safety, and company policies are followed while resolving member queries effectively. Collaborate with other Shift Leads and support Store Managers in delivering store objectives across all areas of the store.
Required Qualifications
- Sound knowledge of day-to-day retail operations
- An understanding of key commercial KPIs
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate colleagues in a fast-paced retail environment
- Clear and confident communicator
- Good commercial awareness
- Strong member focus
- Well organised and adaptable
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a retail environment
- Experience of opening and closing a store
- Experience of handling cash
- Experience of processing refunds
- Experience of working in line with company policies and procedures
- Food Safety Level 1 qualification
- Willingness to obtain Food Safety Level 1 qualification as part of the role
- Availability for shifts over Monday to Sunday
- Availability for shifts from 6:00am and 11pm
- A degree of flexibility
