Job Summary
Shift Lead at Pressed Juicery in Berkeley leads in-store experiences and drives business results by warmly engaging guests, promoting products, and enrolling members in the loyalty program. The role mentors teammates, ensures adherence to brand standards and safety, handles in-store and third-party delivery orders, supports inventory and daily operations, and helps open/close the store while maintaining cleanliness and adherence to policies. Responsibilities include product sampling, storytelling about ingredients and benefits, achieving sales goals, modeling exceptional service, and collaborating with leadership to create a welcoming, inclusive environment. Key skills include guest-focused communication, leadership by example, teamwork, adaptability in a fast-paced retail/food-service setting, and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Knowledge of store systems (e.g., Zenput) and compliance with company policies is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Passion for health, wellness and guest experience
- Experience in food service, hospitality, or retail (preferred)
- Strong communication skills with a guest-first mindset
- Team-oriented with the ability to lead by example
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach during shift
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
