Retail Security Officer

Provide security detail per post orders and establish professional relationships with customers and local authorities. Patrol and control entrances and movement of pedestrians and vehicles; patrol buildings and perimeters; escort materials and personnel; inspect security and fire exposures; handle special assignments. Maintain a professional image with excellent customer service; greet customers and employees; stay informed of post orders; monitor cameras; report suspicious activity and incidents; complete daily activity, incident and log reports; support management with safety and loss-prevention improvements. Possess knowledge of life-safety systems, fire panels, CCTV, elevators and access doors; ensure proper operation and compliance; coordinate with Security Supervisor on new issues. Ability to work as part of a team, communicate effectively, and perform duties with urgency and discretion under various post assignments.
