Retail Security Officer

Job Summary
Provide security detail per post orders, control entrances and movement of pedestrians/vehicles, patrol buildings and perimeters, escort materials and personnel, inspect security and fire exposures, and perform special assignments. Maintain a professional image with excellent customer service, greet customers/visitors/employees, stay updated on post orders, monitor surveillance equipment, respond to alarms/incidents, and generate reports. Adapt to varying post assignments and communicate security issues daily with the Security Supervisor. Knowledge of life safety systems, fire panels and CCTV is beneficial; training/compliance guidelines will be followed as outlined by client and agency regulations.
Required Qualifications

- Be on time and report to post in full uniform
- Maintain professional image and greet customers politely
- Patrol property and report suspicious activity
- Monitor cameras/equipment as per post orders
- Respond to alarms and emergencies
- Complete daily activity/incident reports
- Knowledge of life safety systems and CCTV preferred
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency and teamwork
- Strong oral and written communications skills
