Retail Security Officer

Provide security detail per post orders; control entrances and movement of pedestrians and vehicles; patrol buildings and perimeters; escort material and personnel; inspect security and fire exposures; perform special assignments as needed. Maintain a professional image and strong customer service while greeting customers, visitors, and employees. Stay current on post-order revisions and information from the customer and AFS. Monitor cameras and equipment; respond to alarms and emergencies; complete Daily Activity Reports, Log Book entries, and Incident Reports; recommend improvements for safety and loss prevention. Maintain knowledge of life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV, and related equipment to complete assignments; ensure operation of elevators and access doors; identify authorized personnel for maintenance. Communicate security issues daily with Security Supervisor and adapt to post-specific duties. Adhere to ADA requirements where applicable and be able to perform duties with diligence and a sense of urgency; work as part of a team and follow directions.
