Retail Security Officer

Provide security detail per post orders and establish professional relations with customers, local law enforcement and fire departments. Duties include controlling entrances and movement of pedestrians and vehicles, patrolling buildings and perimeters, escorting materials and personnel, inspecting security and fire exposures, and handling special assignments. Maintain a professional image with polite customer interactions, stay up-to-date with post orders, monitor cameras, report incidents and emergencies, complete Daily Activity Reports and other relevant documentation, and contribute to safety and loss-prevention improvements. Knowledge of life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV, elevators and access doors, and the ability to communicate security issues to the Security Supervisor are required.
