Retail Security Officer

Job Summary
Provide security detail per post orders, establishing relationships with customers, local law enforcement and fire departments. Maintain professional image and deliver excellent customer service. Duties include controlling entrances and movement of pedestrians and vehicle traffic, patrolling buildings and perimeters, escorting material and personnel, inspecting security and fire exposures, and handling special assignments. Monitor cameras, respond to alarms and emergencies, maintain post documentation (Daily Activity Reports, Incident Reports), and communicate security issues to the Security Supervisor. Possess strong vigilance, teamwork, and clear, effective communications to support safety and loss prevention.
Required Qualifications
- Be on time and report to post in full uniform
- Maintain professional image and customer service
- Patrol physical property or maintain fixed post position
- Monitor cameras or equipment per post orders
- Complete Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports
- Know life safety systems and fire panels
- Communicate with Security Supervisor daily
- Maintain knowledge of emergency policies and procedures
- Ensure training and compliance per regulations
