Retail Security Officer

Job Summary
Provide security detail for client sites per post orders, including controlling entrances and vehicle/pedestrian movement, patrolling buildings and perimeters, escorting material and personnel, inspecting security and fire exposures, and handling special assignments. Maintain professional image and deliver courteous customer service; greet customers, visitors, and employees; stay current with post orders; report suspicious activity and incidents; monitor cameras and alarm/fire systems; ensure safe operation of elevators and access doors; document daily activities and incidents; communicate security issues to the Security Supervisor; contribute to loss prevention improvements. Must be knowledgeable about life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV, and related equipment; able to work in a team, manage multiple priorities, and follow directions with urgency.
Required Qualifications
- Experience providing security or customer-facing roles preferred
- Ability to patrol buildings and perimeters
- Ability to complete daily activity and incident reports
- Knowledge of life safety and emergency procedures
