Retail Security Officer

Provide security detail per post orders, establish professional relationships with customers, local law enforcement and fire departments, and maintain a high level of situational awareness. Duties include controlling entrances and movement of pedestrian and vehicle traffic, patrolling buildings and perimeters, escorting material and personnel, inspecting security and fire exposures, and performing special assignments. Maintain a professional image, greet customers and employees, stay up-to-date with post orders, report suspicious activity and incidents, monitor cameras, be knowledgeable about emergency policies and procedures, complete daily activity and incident reports, and contribute to improvements in safety and loss prevention. Knowledge of life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV, and access control; ensure elevators and doors operate safely; comply with training and regulatory requirements; communicate security issues to the Security Supervisor.
