Job Summary
Retail Security Officer responsible for security detail per post orders, controlling entrances and traffic, patrolling buildings and perimeters, escorting materials/personnel, inspecting security and fire exposures, and handling special assignments. Requires professional customer service, vigilance, and adherence to post orders; duties include greeting customers, noting suspicious activity, monitoring cameras, reporting incidents, maintaining emergency procedures knowledge, and collaborating with Security Supervisor. Must be on-time, in full uniform, and able to operate life-safety systems and access control equipment. Flexible to post variations and ADA accommodations; duties may include recommendations for loss prevention and safety improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Be on time and report to post in full uniform
- Maintain professional image
- Patrol physical property or maintain fixed post position
- Monitor cameras or equipment
- Complete Daily Activity Reports, Log Book entries, Incident Reports and all relevant reports
- Knowledge of life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV
- Communicate with Security Supervisor daily
- Duties may vary by post orders and location
