Retail Security Officer

Provide security detail per post orders and establish working relationships with customers, local law enforcement and fire departments. Maintain constant awareness of surroundings, noting activity in the assigned area, and uphold a professional image with excellent customer service. Responsibilities include controlling entrances and movement of traffic, patrolling buildings and perimeters, escorting materials and personnel, inspecting security and fire exposures, and completing Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports. Maintain knowledge of emergency policies and procedures, communicate daily with Security Supervisor, monitor cameras/equipment, and ensure life safety systems and access doors operate safely. Emphasizes proactive post-order updates, loss prevention, and adherence to training/compliance guidelines. Duties may vary by post and location.
