Retail Security Officer

Provide security detail per post orders and maintain professional image while delivering excellent customer service. Duties include controlling entrances and movement of pedestrians and vehicles, patrolling buildings and perimeters, escorting material and personnel, inspecting security and fire exposures, and handling special assignments. Maintain awareness of surroundings, report suspicious activity, monitor cameras, stay current with post orders and emergency procedures, and communicate with Security Supervisor. Prepare Daily Activity Reports, log books, and incident reports; contribute to safety and loss prevention improvements and understand life safety systems and access control equipment. The role emphasizes vigilance, teamwork, and proactive response to incidents as defined by the customer and post orders.
